World Monitor provides a free, open-source, real-time global intelligence dashboard, unifying AI-powered news aggregation, geopolitical monitoring, and infrastructure tracking. How It Works

The project features a 3D WebGL globe visualizing over 30 data layers, powered by AI (Groq Llama 3.1) for synthesized briefs and threat analysis, alongside 100+ real-time data feeds. Its unique local-first architecture leverages browser-side ML (Transformers.js) and a Tauri desktop sidecar for core analysis, enhancing privacy and offline capabilities across web, desktop, and PWA platforms.

Quick Start & Requirements

Clone the repo (https://github.com/koala73/worldmonitor.git), run npm install, and then vercel dev for local full-stack development (requires Vercel CLI). Optional API keys for services like Groq and Redis are documented in .env.example for full functionality.
