How It Works

The application pairs directly with WHOOP 4.0 and 5.0/MG straps via Bluetooth, storing all data locally in an SQLite database. Core metrics like recovery, strain, HRV, and sleep are computed on-device using documented, open-source algorithms, ensuring data privacy and transparency. It also supports importing historical data from WHOOP CSV exports and Apple Health.

Quick Start & Requirements

• Primary Install: Download pre-built NOOP.app (macOS) or NOOP-full.apk (Android) from the Releases page. iOS requires building from source.
• Prerequisites: macOS 13+ or Android 8+, a WHOOP strap, and Bluetooth. Xcode 15+ is required for building on macOS. An API key is needed for the optional AI Coach.
• Setup: Building from source requires xcodegen (brew install xcodegen).

Limitations & Caveats

The iOS version is an experimental, community-driven port requiring self-compilation. WHOOP 5.0/MG support for advanced metrics is still under development.
