How It Works

Built using Tauri v2 for its desktop framework and Rust for a performant backend, Memory Forge RS operates entirely offline, ensuring user data privacy. The frontend leverages React 19, TypeScript, Vite, and Tailwind CSS. The application interfaces with the local data storage of supported AI CLI tools, allowing users to browse, edit, and inject context into past conversation messages. This corrected history is then used when resuming the AI session, making it appear as if the error or omission never occurred.

Quick Start & Requirements

Download the latest release for Windows, macOS, or Linux from the project's GitHub repository. No configuration is required, as the app automatically reads local AI data. Building from source requires Node.js 18+, Rust, and the Tauri CLI.
